Frequently Asked Questions

How will my trade credits work?

Trade credits allow you to receive up to 50% off the price of used items in our store.

Can I get cash for my books?

We pay cash for current College Textbooks, Best Sellers, New Releases, and certain other categories as we have need, but we do have to see these items and cannot quote cash prices for them over the phone.

We give trade credits for most items.

What do you mean by “new” and “used”?

“Used” means we got it from another customer.  “New” means it came from our new book distributors.  We will never put a “New” sticker on an item we received from a customer, no matter how good it looks.

Can I use my trade credits on new items?

We’re sorry, but if we allowed that, we’d be out of business in a couple of months.   Then who would give you these great discounts?

Do my credits expire?

Your trade credits are kept in an account under your name and they do not expire.

Can I get cash for my trade credits?

No, we’re sorry, but if we allowed that, we’d be out of business in a couple of months.   Then who would give you these great discounts?

Can I give my trade credits to someone else?

Yes, you may list whichever family members or friends under your account that you wish to have access to your credits.  You may also transfer some or all of your trade credits to someone else’s name.

Why can’t I use my trade credits to cover the full price of a used item?

Because we have to eat and pay our bills!

How often can I use my trade credits?

As often as you like!

How many books can I bring in?

However many you can carry.
